Nothing much to say...

I haven't written in a few days, I don't seem to have anything interesting to say or it could be that I am so busy, I feel like a chicken running around with it's head cut off.

Oh yes! I do want to wish my Grandmother a Happy Birthday. We celebrated at a restaurant that she likes in Mission Viejo on Saturday. Our family rarely gets a chance to get together even though we generally live close to one another. Life is just way to busy. So this was a nice treat.

Do you know those days when things are so laid back, there's nothing that has to be done? No need to rush off anywhere, no obligations? That day for me was Saturday. After coming home from lunch with my family, I snuggled up next to the fire pulled out Kissing Adrien and just read. I haven't had a day like that in... well, I can't remember, it was wonderful! You could hear the rain pattering away on the roof and the smell of gumbo cooking on the stove. Heaven on earth. At least to me.

I think God was giving me some peace between the storm. I had the worst day on Friday and then coming into work on Monday... ugh! I am so swamped, my office is covered, again, in paperwork. That is one reason why I haven't been blogging. Hopefully it will die down soon. **fingers crossed**

I still need to read Kissing Adrien. Did someone mention it was going out of print? I meant to order it on Amazon one day and realized I had ordered The Guy I'm Not Dating instead. Oops.

I hope work slows down for you soon. We need you in the blogging world. ;-)

At least you had Saturday. Time with your family, and then a chance to sit back and read. Doesn't get much better than that.

Shauna - You must read this! Katybug read it twice, she read it then picked it up again and read it. I think this may be my top pick this year. My heads been living in Paris since I put it down.

I bought the Guy I'm Not Dating and read it a few weeks back, have you read it yet?

Travis - Thanks for stopping by. I agree, it really doesn't get much better than family, a good book, and some R&R.

Deb, sorry to hear about the overwhelming amount of paperwork. Seems like my desk here at home is in a constant state of paper-shuffling. Argh. As for "Adrien", I was the same way...EVERY TIME I READ IT! I've never really wanted to visit France till I read that book. Of course, I also wanted to find Adrien there if I went, so no plans have been made. ;-) "The Guy I'm Not Dating" was--hands down--one of the funniest books I've ever read! The sequel (Too Good To Be True) is good too...little more on the serious side, but well worth the time. Both are quick reads.

Shauna, if you can't find "Adrien" at your usual book places, check with the author (Siri Mitchell). She mentioned in her last e-newsletter that while it was no longer in print, she still had some copies left.

Katybug - I'm beggining to hate paper. My hands look extra nice with bandades and little paper cuts everywhere. lol.

I got the Paris bug after reading Kissing Adrien. I already priced airfare and hotel and am making plans to go by the end of the year! Woohoo!

In case anyone else is intrested in buying Kissing Adrien, the author, Siri Mitchell made signed copies available through Signed By Author - http://store.signedbytheauthor.com/1365.html
