Back Breaking

As I said in a previous post, I messed up my back sometime in the last couple of weeks and it's gotten progressively worse.

Going to the Chiropractor is no fun. I don't like people massaging me. It hurts. A deep tissue massage KILLS.

I felt pretty good as I laid down on the board/bed... whatever it is, and relaxed my body while my skirt was yanked down, slightly, and the little vibrating "thing" was placed on my lower back. I'm left alone for a few minutes and use this time to plead and beg God to not let it hurt.

The Doctor comes back in and begins to massage and shoot the breeze, chatting about his techniques and how I ripped my muscles around my spine... everything is going good and I feel like God really is going to numb me from the pain. Before I know it he's massaging my bum/hip and talking about an increase in taxes for California. My thoughts are, Hey, you're too close to my bum to talk about paying taxes.

Everything feels good minus the couple of sore spots that he feels need extra attention. I am focused on his shoes as my face is scrunched in the head rest. He decides to crack my back and hits down so hard that the bottom of my spine feels like it came out of my skin. I wanted to stand up and smack him in the face, "Hello, I have an injury, Buster!"

"What happened?" He asked after I screamed. I managed to yelp, "It hurts here", as I pat my back. He then wiggles my back to find out where the pain came from, no pain. Then he wants to crack again. I was too chicken to tell him not to, so I just smacked him in my head. He cracks it and everything is fine.

After he massaged my back and legs with a massive massager that makes you jiggle all over, he left so that I could gather myself.

I scoot off the bed/board and yelp, again. It's bad. Very bad. I whimper my way over to my purse and bend a few inches... I'm stuck. Here I am standing with my arms hanging down and my butt in the air.

He comes in looking concerned while I think, You better look concerned buddy, you broke my back!, "What is hurting?" he ask.

After a few back exercises I limp out to the lobby and thank God that my sweet mom came with me.

I pay, and wobble out to the car. My mom ask, "How are you feeling?". I whimper in response, "Ooooowweeee".

Another long week...

Let me start by saying, you ARE at The Daily B. I've changed my background so many times that I've learned to accept the fact that I am a compulsive background changer. The black was depressing and that's is the last thing I needed to look at when I signed on.

For some reason, I can't seem to catch up on sleep, maybe it's due to watching the Olympics and not being able to pull myself away when the swimming is on late at night. Or it could be that I am just exhausted from life. eh, either or.

My mom started back on her shots for her tumor this morning and it just unnerves me. She is getting ready to make a decision since the shots have pretty much done all they can do which was not very much. She is supposed to see a specialist at Cedar Sinai, one of the top hospitals in the nation and home to all the overindulged celebrities. My conscious just told me to be nice. lol.

This specialist is the head of Neurosurgery and supposed to world renown. I told my sister-in-law that maybe, just maybe God was conditioning the surgeon for such a time as this. My mom is pretty special to me and that much more to God, so I can see Him doing something like this.

I will be glad when this hurdle is behind us and we can look back and say, "Mom remember when you had a tumor the size of a golf ball and God took care of everything...". Now to just tackle this little fear whispering in my ear...

We started Community Groups at our church and our area comes to our home. Very cool way to meet the community and to invite others that are a little hesitant about stepping into a church building. We are holding off on buying another building at this time, God's taking us into another place and of course, we follow. We are going to reach the OC one way or another, this is the right place to start, getting to know the people and showing them a side of God that maybe they never knew existed.

My sister did her screen test on Saturday, those of you that follow her blog will know what I'm referring to. I was asked to come along to do her makeup and hair... lol. Funny thing is I don't know anything about makeup and neither does she. So there we were in the makeup aisle at Walgreen's, looking for things that we'd seen on What Not To Wear. I told her to keep her voice down after she said, "NO! That's eyeliner!". We looked like makeup idiots. I think I did a pretty good job of giving her a camera face.

This weekend/week has been long so far, I'm looking forward to the weekend...

Exercise... Loooooathe Entirely

I have to exercise in the morning before my brain figures out what I'm doing.

LOL - This is how I feel.

This morning while on the treadmill with my eyes nearly closed and my mouth wide open in the middle of a yawn, I thought, Maybe I can close my eyes and rest while briskly walking...

Why not? So I tried it. I closed my eyes, relaxed my body and attempted to "sleep" while walking.

I nearly fell off.

I loathe exercise!

Wiped Out

Have you noticed that I have changed my blog format... four times since Thursday? *CRINGE* I have. Every time I come up with a design and think it's interesting I get skeptical a few minutes later, few hours later, few days later. I must make a change!

I decided to use a free template. Good idea? No! It looks good but it wiped me out. Everything that has been on my page for... months and months is now erased. Floating around in blog land. Evil Blog land. Argh.

I can't guarantee that my need for change has been fed. I may change this page again and wipe out my wonderful widgets and format, wonderful to me. I may complain all over again. I can't help myself.

Now I sit here, trying to remember what was on my blog... what did I fill it up with? What was so wonderful? Probably nothing worth searching for again. lol.

I am now having deja vu... I think I complained about my layout in December... I can now guarantee that this will not be the last you hear of it!

Petty, petty, petty - that's what this post is.
