We had a girls night out last night, my mom, grams, sister, and sister-in-law went to see The Phantom at a dinner theater that we frequent.
I've never seen a show quite like this one and didn't know what to expect. It was opening night and there were some technical issues with the backdrops moving like they should, but all in all I liked it. The story line is heart wrenching and a little on the scary side, every time there was a rumble I'd scoot down in my seat.

The singing was good and of course the food was delicious! I had prime rib and my favorite dessert there, custard. So. very. good.
My Gram has been down the past couple of weeks, losing the love of your life for 60 years is no easy thing to bear. She enjoyed herself and gave a standing ovation at the end and had her picture taken with the Phantom. =)

That sounds like good "medicine" for all of you right now.
I've got a 'girls night out' post coming up here in a week or two. Whenever we're past the majority of the work to get into our home.
it was a lot of fun and i'm glad grams got out of the house for a short while.
i thought it would be scarier than it was... ha ha ha. And actually i was biting back tears at one point and hoped no one would look at me! LOL!!!
i think i'd actually see it again.
But, now we gotta go see wicked next!
Sounds like a lot of fun! I love any type of theater -- Broadway, Off-Broadway, Community, High school, Garage -- whatever! lol
I'm really glad your grandma had a good time, too. :o)
I had so much fun! It was a great night! I was also holding back tears, the show was very touching. I loved the Phantom!
