My families houses in San Diego are still standing, Thank God! They are watching the fire closely and hoping it doesn't jump the freeway, which is between their house and the fire. Things are looking up for them.
I am very sad for those that lost their homes and those that have lost their lives. I can't imagine if I was in the position to lose my home. I pray that things work out for them in these next few weeks.
I am so proud of our firemen and emergency workers! What heroes they are! Some getting a mere 3 hours of sleep since Sunday?!? Can you imagine?
I am headed off to a restful weekend. I have a Bible study to attend this evening and then I am going to put my feet up and relax with Cubicle Next Door. This has been one long long week, I'm so glad it's nearly over.

Just thanking the Lord for that awesome news! I'm hopeful that they'll get all of these fires under control soon, and continue to pray for rain!
One of my husband's co-workers was an evacuee from the Lake Arrowhead fire, and has heard her house is still standing, but hasn't been back up there to check. Schools in our area were all closed today due to the smoke.
Praying for a restful weekend here too! :o)
Hope your weekend has been as restful as you planned, Deb. And I'm so thankful things have gotten much better.
It has been a wonderful weekend! I can't remember the last time I made myself relax on Saturday and do nothing but read or watch a movie. I am currently at church, anticipating a great service tonight, so... it turned out exactly as I wanted it to.
