God Is Not Enough..?

I read a Blog posting today that was titled "God is not enough"and I was startled, this is so contrary to what I have always believed and been told, so I decided to read the blog and understand where the writer was coming from...

She noted that in Genesis, before God created the women, it was just Him and Adam. They communicated, decided things... But God wasn't enough.

He created women as a friend, helpmate. He knew that man needed someone else of their own kind to make it. "It is not good for man to be alone."

Without human contact we cannot be what God has planned for us to be. We wouldn't be able to function correctly.

In our own "little minds" we believe that we need someone else, God is not enough. He is enough. He can be whatever we want him and need him to be, but He is such an awesome God that he knows and cares how we feel. He knows we feel like we need more, this is why (I believe) he made a friend and helpmate for Adam. It was a gift, a way of coping in this earthly vessel.

I am thankful for my friends and family that help me to function the way God has made me too.

My Posse

There are few people that I like to spend time with. I am not very sociable. It is true and I know it. I would rather be in my own world and slip out unnoticed. In the day and age we live in, it's so easy to do just that. No need to talk on the phone or face to face... we have email to communicate, cell phone to text... what more do we need? Yes that would be nice, just to communicate by email...

I said all that to say this, there are a few people I like to be around. Below are a few that are near a dear to this heart =)

I can guarantee a fun time when I am with these three. We usually like the same things, sometimes we disagree, but that just keeps us on our toes. You cannot say we are boring that's for sure!

My sister and I tend to do everything together, sometimes we like it, sometimes we don't. We have pretty much everything in common, so it's easy to go the same place and not give up what the other wants to really be doing =).

I took some photos from a Valentine bouquet that we had at our house... Something so small and insignificant makes you wonder why God would take so much time and detail a mere flower with a lifespan so short.

It's Stuffy In Here

Yes, It's very stuffy in here. Here at work. The building cannot decide whether it's hot or cold! Come on!

I am wasting my time talking to ignorant people at jobs where they should not be working. Come on! This is beyond annoying!

Breathe in, Breathe out, Breathe in, Breathe out... I am on the verge of flying to who knows where and telling this idiot that works for Toys R' Us what up!! Yes this is my plan. I will tell his superiors that he is a small brained procrastinator that is in the process of jeopardizing this company of serious fines! ARGH!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA! That's all I can do... or else I will cry for no reason, but out of frustration.

eBayness

I am an avid eBayer. I don't do it as often as I used too, even though I love doing it. It takes a lot of time and energy, but there's something about watching your items go up in price. Like they say, "Ones junk is anothers treasure.". This is so true for eBayers.

I have furthered my knowledge in the items I sell. I know everything about them. I read up on the styles, lines, cuts, fabrics, colors, sizes. I sell men's clothing and neck ties. I have one account for the Men items and one account for my personal items. I solely purchase things on a personal account so that I have a professional account that is private and designated for sales.

eBay can be just as addictive as gambling. Once you are bidding, you want to win. Good for sellers, bad for the bidder.

eBay has been around for so long and is such a massive community. I don't understand why people don't put it to use. Even just an item that you purchased and cannot return to the store, or maybe you just need some money for a bill or your car payment, sell something on eBay. Simple as that.

Six Weird Things About Me

I read Deeanne Gist's blog a few times a week. She was tagged to write six weird things about herself.... Here are mine.

1. Once in a while I can hear an everyday word such as, score, trip, bell, and not understand it. It will take me a few minutes and a lot of explaining until it triggers it my mind.

2. I can't keep my shoes on in the house. The minute I step in they come off, that's not the only place though, I take them off when I am teaching at church, and when I am at my desk at work. Right now I have one off and one on... hahaha

3. I get scared when watching the movie, "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken".

4. I used to not think to look mirrors, other women look in the bathroom mirrors or mirrors passing by, not me, I didn't pay attention... that has changed though, I remind myself to make sure and look hahaha

5. I used to dream that I was the daughter of Fran Drescher and Kevin Costner LOL!

6. I have to nurse a drink every morning. If I don't it's like not changing your underwear or showering before work, your miserable all day.

Waterproof Boots

I was gathering supplies for a children's lesson at my church and happened upon the pastor's 6-year-old Cowboy, dressed like he was ready to go on a cattle drive. He was helping out by filling up a baptismal tank with a hose. I walked over to him and sunk into a huge puddle in the carpet! I asked him, "What happened here?! Is there a leak?" He looked at me and smiled, "No, I was just checking to see if my boots were water proof."

American Culture

I was mosing around the Readers Digest Website and stumbled upon the C. F. Payne Gallery. I love to just look over his pictures that are on the back of the Readers Digest every month. They show what the country is into at that moment. Some are so true that it is hilarious! To think we find other antics of different cultures odd. We are an odd sort. America is the mix of all the odd parts of every culture worldwide.

The one to the left is called - " Dollar by Dollar" - America has had it's share of tragedy caused by natural disasters. Americans gets on board by doing just as this picture shows.

The bottom top left is called - "Choices" - It was shown on the January issue of 2004. I find it very interesting that the cake in the window is causing this dedicated jogger to turn his head. This is American life, so much right at our fingertips.

The bottom top right is called - "Easy Rider" - Now this one is all too true for the lazy American! Just this month, my own father mentioned that it would be a good idea to get one of these for himself! If the security guard at the mall rides one, everyone should right! hahaha

Bottem right - "First Snow" - Now this is most of America, but not good ol' Southern California. Where the grass is green and there is no need for snow shovels.

Bottem left - "Prime Time" - How true is this. No reason for America to leave their couch, just flip the channel, watch a cartoon, reality show, arctic bears walking around, or, July's fireworks.

LOL! America, you truly are a mixed bunch! Everyday life here should be written as a comedy for the world screen.

2007 Resolutions

I had such a good turnout from last years resolutions, I am going to make one this year knowing that I can keep most if I put some work into it... Here it goes.

1. Lose 40 pnds


2. Read the Books of the Bible that I have not finished


3. Conquer a battle with my will


4. God-willing do something to better my financial situation


5. Take voice lessons


6. Write in this blog for the full year, at least once a week

Now there are six things that are attainable with a little bit of work, some alot of work. What a great year it will be! A new opened door...

Closing Out 2006

So much has happened this past year. Many changes in my life. I have kept most of my resolutions. This would be the first time! Because of that, one big thing has changed for me. I now have no fear of maneuvering a car! hahaha. And I have a nice little card to prove it.


My home life has changed drastically. For the better. We have decided to make another change, moving, which we are all excited about. In our home, moving is a big deal. We are creatures of habit, and therefore do not like our routine to change, let alone our address! But we have decided it is time.



This year flew by like no other. It seems like we have doubled on everything this year, holidays, birthdays, ect... This year could have gone a little slower. But time is speeding by us. Pretty soon there will be none left.

I noticed that this year, I have felt and been so busy. So much happening.


I have grown drastically in my own eyes.... Physically! YEP! Ugh! Spiritually. I feel like I have taken a big step in that area. I feel like I can hear God's voice easier, see things better, deal with things the right way. I have all the same problems present themselves, but they don't seem the same since I handle them differently. It has been a good year. Thank you God!

So Happy New Year to the world. To those that are needing a new start, to those that have changes to make this 2007, to the many people that have hit tragedy this year, to those that have had a year of happiness, to the lost, to the redeemed, to the sick, to the dying, to the hurt, to the broken, to the happy, to the fulfilled, to the president, to the homeless, to our troops, to Iraq, to every country, Good and Bad, to mankind, with all our faults and failures. Make it prosperous, changing New Year 2007.

Belated Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas... A few days late.

I had a wonderful Christmas. Nothing wanting.

The weekend was busy, busy, busy, with last minute shopping. But it was well worth it. Everyone had a great Christmas.

I am hoping this holiday week will be very slow here at work. I look forward to another day off on Monday! that will be nice. And then after that, I am hoping, God willing, that I will be able to make a change for my future. For the better.

Christmas Through Our Eyes

These past couple weeks have been all about the nativity for me. We are putting together a program for our kids department and my class is doing a still picture of the nativity. One of my girls will be singing "What child is this?". That must have been a question in their minds as they looked on at Baby Jesus. Thinking "How could this child be the savior, this little bundle?".

Hopefully we will be painting a picture in someones mind. Bringing this true story to life that was born thousands of years ago.

I was telling my class on Thursday, that we should rejoice even more than the angels did on that night. They were rejoicing for mankind, because a saviour had come to bring peace and goodwill. The Angels were rejoicing for us.

It seems that this season 2006 the true meaning of Christmas has come alive to me more than any other year. When I think about the cost that He paid. Living this life I am living, yet with every heartache, temptation, pain that each person in this world carries. I am thankful for Him being born, living my life thousands of years before I was born, giving His blood for me and saving my soul.

Last Minute Shopping...

I usually am the one that starts shopping as early as October for Christmas. This year with the wedding preparations, I am barely making a dent. Some of my family have not even started yet. Things are not fully decorated in our home.

It seems that things are just busy. Too busy to enjoy this holiday that is the favorite in our household. I dread fighting the crowds for last minute Holiday shopping and the lines of people waiting to get a good deal.

I am overly concerned with the fact that there are no presents under our trees as of today. We usually are trying to find more space by this time!

But when I think about the reason why we are delayed such as we are, All the lines, crowds, treeless presents, few decorations seem so "small" in comparison. There is more too look forward to then just the season.

I am going to enjoy whats left of this December holiday and do my best to get things together that I know are missing.

Inspired

I have been a faithful reader of a blog by a women that I have known since childhood. She most likley does not remember me, but I know her.

She has this wonderful blog that I try to read everyday. I am suprised at how meaninful her blog is. It seems like everyday is an adventure or somethin new for her to discover. Her family, her feelings for christmas, her blessings, her recipes, her weather, her trips... it is all very encouraging and reminds me of reading a good book.

I was reading her blog today and it had the below paragraph... Wisdom is found in these words.
